Known throughout Asia and Pacific Rim, the Bolo Machete features a "fat" point that shifts its weight forward where it can do the most good when heavy chopping or slashing is called for. The manufacturer notes that "it's an excellent survival tool and will open a coconut or chop down a tree with equal ease." While our guess is that you don't often have need to open coconuts, you probably do have a need for a good, stout well-balanced machete for brush clearing. This tool is well made and will certainly do the job.
