Makes 3 to 5 Gallons per Hour

A home style wood and cast iron cider press. Make your own cider, involve your family and friends and experiment with different fruit juices.

  • Heavy duty 1 in. diameter pressing screw with Acme thread exerts the needed pressure with a minimum of effort. Four threads per inch permit fast travel
  • Cast iron apple grinder bolts to press frame. A high strength plastic drum with eight rows of embedded stainless steel teeth is mounted on a steel crankshaft inside the hopper (alternately, the grinder can be removed from press and re-mounted on a sawhorse or other support, allowing one person to grind fruit while another presses juice)
  • Heavy cast-iron flywheel with hardwood handle rotates drum mounted on steel shaft -- balanced for smooth, easy grinding
  • Large steel-banded pressing tub will hold up to one bushel of pulp inside the nylon-mesh pressing bag (please order bag separately). The bag will retain skins, stems and pulp letting only the juice flow through
  • Press frame and tub are of hard maple. We recommend finishing the press with EZ-DO poly gel. Note that you can also use products such as Poxy Coat, laquer, varnish or oil, but you should only do so on non-food contacting surfaces (EZ-DO is approved for food contact)
  • The extra wide-stance legs provide stability while grinding and pressing
  • Sliding collecting tray with bottom juice drain

Note: Please be sure to order a Jaffrey Cider Press Bag (JAFP 8035) along with your Jaffrey Press. Press bags sold separately.

  • The Jaffrey Cider and Wine Press ships in three boxes and must be assembled
